We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Application Specialist with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies and a deep understanding of the retail industry to join our client’s dynamic team. The Application Specialist will be responsible for providing expert-level support (level 1 & 2), maintenance, and optimisation of our critical Microsoft-based business applications, specifically those used within our retail operations.
This role requires familiarity of Microsoft application functionality, retail-specific troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with a passion for technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences within the Microsoft ecosystem, tailored to the unique demands of the retail environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users regarding Microsoft applications, including but not limited to, Microsoft 365 (including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), Dynamics 365 (with a focus on retail modules), and Azure-based applications, all within the context of retail operations (POS systems, inventory management, customer relationship management, etc.).
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as application updates, patches, and configurations within the Microsoft environment, with a focus on applications used in retail operations.
- Assist in the planning and execution of Microsoft application deployments and upgrades, including cloud-based deployments within Azure, tailored for retail deployment.
- Work closely with IT teams, developers, and business stakeholders, including retail store managers and staff, to ensure Microsoft application stability and functionality.
- Analyse application logs and system data to identify and resolve complex issues within the Microsoft environment, with a focus on retail related problems.
